Real-time multi-objective optimisation for electric vehicle charging management

The continuous increase in the uptake of electric vehicles and interest to use provide energy services require commercially viable business models for all involved stakeholders. It is, however, challenging achieve synergy among different stakeholders since their objectives are often conflicting. This work proposes a real-time multi-objective optimisation method where vehicle charging/discharging profile is scheduled strike balance objectives, namely electricity cost reduction, battery degradation minimisation grid stress alleviation as well meeting user charging requirement by fulfilling departure time. Dynamic programming adopted due its computational efficiency, which suitable applications. effectiveness proposed demonstrated using residential case study house equipped with an photovoltaic system, validated experimental implementation. results show that algorithm achieves set satisfy stakeholders’ priorities provides profit end-user double compared achieved benchmark algorithm. demonstrate suitability scheduling.
